On 16 December 2025, the STEER-NWE project took centre stage at the Interreg NWE Annual Event 2025, hosted at the European Convention Center Luxembourg. For the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and the City of Differdange, the event offered a unique opportunity to present the project on home turf and connect with peers working on Europe’s energy transition.

STEER-NWE was featured in the session “NWE Projects Making a Difference”, under Track 1: Green transport and connectivity, and contributed to the thematic networking stream “Driving energy transition with communities”. During a dedicated 20-minute presentation, the project team introduced STEER-NWE’s integrated approach to sustainable mobility, highlighting how upcoming pilot actions aim to reduce transport poverty and support a just and inclusive energy transition across North-West Europe.

The presentation showcased how STEER-NWE brings together e-carsharing, urban planning, charging infrastructure, and sustainable business models into a single, coherent framework. By embedding electric carsharing into everyday urban systems, the project aims to move beyond isolated mobility solutions and instead catalyse a broader shift toward accessible, energy-efficient mobility ecosystems.

Beyond the formal sessions, the event provided valuable space for exchange with other Interreg NWE projects addressing similar challenges. Discussions with fellow energy transition initiatives focused on long-term durability, replication, and how transnational cooperation can translate innovative concepts into lasting impact on the ground.

Aligned with the event’s overarching theme, “Cooperating for lasting impact,” STEER-NWE is now preparing to move from vision to action.

With pilot activities about to be launched, the project is set to turn its collaborative, cross-sectoral approach into tangible results for cities, regions, and communities across North-West Europe.

All STEER-NWE partners would like to thank the opportunity to Interreg-NWE. It was a great pleasure to present our beloved project to a great audience. Looking forward to next year's addition!
